wedding quilt

One day a few years ago, my Gramma took me to her closet and pulled out a stuffed pillow case. She told me my wedding quilt was inside. I still have no marriage plans but I've finally cracked out the quilt...

Here's a closeup of the amazingly even hand stitches...

It's so simple but so beautiful, with the crisp white front and the turquoise and blue floral back. It's all about the stitch work...

my new embroidery project- Westlake Designs sign

I've been working on a new, embroidered Westlake Designs sign recently. It's my first embroidery project in years, but I've been meaning to get back into it. It's a colour enlargement of my logo- a lake surrounded by pines- stitched in various wools on tweed fabric. It's still in the hoop, but nearly finished...
